Ewha Journal of Social Sciences (EJSS) is the official journal of the Ewha Institute for Social Sciences (EISS) at Ewha Womans University. EJSS, published semi-annually, is indexed by the Korea Research Foundation as a Level A journal. EJSS publishes peer-reviewed scholarly articles from across social sciences, special issues dedicated to particular themes, and shorter symposia. The principal purpose of the journal is to advance theory, research and practice in the scientific fields studying human society, social interaction and social change, both in contemporary as well as historical times.

The journal welcomes theoretical, empirical and experimental studies in all fields of social sciences – including political science, public administration, economics, management, media studies, cultural studies, psychology, sociology, and social work – as well as multi-disciplinary studies. Comparative studies informing on topics of interest to the broad social-science audience are also welcome, regardless of country, social group or historical period studied. Reviews, syntheses, and meta-analyses of prior research are also considered. Manuscripts are accepted for consideration year-round. EJSS is committed to a quick review and publication process with an average turnover rate of 2 months from submission to final judgment. The acceptance rate has been 55% for submitted manuscripts. Submissions should be submitted at the journal’s website http://ejss.jams.or.kr, or by email to the editor.
