LAW SCHOOLS GLOBAL LEAGUE RESEARCH PAPER SERIES View Papers: http://www.ssrn.com/link/Law-Schools-Global-League-RES.html Subscribe: http://hq.ssrn.com/jourInvite.cfm?link=Law-Schools-Global-League-RES The ideal of a global league of law schools came up in 2009, in a series of meetings

between DIREITO GV and Tilburg Law School. Both schools pitched the idea initially to other partner schools, in a first effort to make the project truly global. The project of the league ripened and other partners began to consider joining in. In little time, Northwestern Law School, National University of Singapore, IE Law School, and soon others as well, were all supportive behind it. As the conversations among these institutions gained momentum, a global network of law schools was created in February 2012: Law Schools Global League (LSGL). LSGL brings together law schools that share a commitment to the globalization of law making a special effort to integrate global law in their teaching and research. In short, LSGL hopes to generate a major positive contribution to law, legal theory and globalized legal education, which can only be accomplished in a transnational and communitarian academic environment. This eJournal welcomes papers written by academics (professors, researchers, current graduate and undergraduate students and alumni) from the 25 members of the Law Schools Global League. Papers should deal with themes related to the League’s current activities, such as “Rule of Law in the Global Context” – which is the theme of the League’s 2014 Summer School (Koç University, Istanbul), and with issues concerning contemporary legal problems regarded from a global perspective.
