Did You Know?

SSRN provides an eye-friendly short-form URL for every author and abstract page.

Author Page: http://ssrn.com/author=1234567

This URL is useful in your email “signature,” allowing recipients to quickly find your research (without running the risk of fumbling to copy a long string of a URL that may not paste properly).
For example:

Sincerely,
John Doe
Professor of Economics. International University
Access my papers on SSRN: http://ssrn.com/author=1234567

To access your personal author short-form URL:

  1. Sign in to your SSRN account at: http://hq.ssrn.com.
  2. Click “My Papers” in the left menu.
  3. The short-form URL is below your name at the top of your My Papers page.

Abstract Page http://ssrn.com/abstract=1234567

In addition, there is a short-form URL for accessing the SSRN abstract page.  This simpler URL is beneficial and easier for readers to copy and paste or share.
For example:

This paper can be downloaded at: http://ssrn.com/abstract=7654321

This short-form URL can be accessed from the paper’s abstract page within the blue “tab” in the upper left portion of the screen.
