The Population and Economic Development e-Working Paper Series provides a forum to disseminate timely research on population and economic development. This Series is part of the PopPov Research Network, a community of academic researchers and funders from around the globe interested in how population dynamics affect economic outcomes, particularly in Africa. Within the context of population issues – including reproductive health and family planning – topics of interest include, but are not limited to: macroeconomic modeling, household and other microeconomic outcomes, qualitative and community-based work, and longitudinal analyses. Submissions are welcome from researchers both within and outside of the PopPov Research Network. Please note that papers that appear in this Series will not limit or otherwise affect submission to and publication in a professional journal.
