SSRN is delighted to announce that Managing Director Gregory Gordon has been appointed to the 2023 ORCID Board. 

ORCID is a non-profit organisation which was established in 2010 with the aim of increasing the transparency and trustworthiness of the research community. It provides each individual with a unique identifier as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities.

ORCID announced today the six new members of the board who will preside for a three-year term from January 2023. ORCID stated that it was pleased to have candidates with the skills and experience to provide a balanced perspective, specifically from the publishing and service provider sectors. 

Gregg said, “I was on the original business policy working group that helped ORCID get started. Having been part of the business policy work at BPWG when ORCID got started, I’m excited by their successes to date and look forward to helping them plot their course for the future.”
