SSRN’s newest research network, Medical Research Network (MedRN), in partnership with The Lancet, is the early-stage research repository for the medical field where professionals in medicine and health can discover and share non-peer-reviewed research with others in their field and interdisciplinary areas of science.
Sharing research early creates the opportunity for authors to receive comments on their work with the goal of an improved final peer-reviewed publication and for exchange of research areas with the future potential for collaboration. As medical science research is evolving at a faster pace than ever before, thought leaders from all specialties of science, medicine and health, together, are making modern breakthroughs and contributing research to ultimately improve lives.
Preprints have a long history in physics, mathematics, social sciences and biology, but is the health and medical research community ready?
