On behalf of all of us, we are pleased to announce the 2nd WRDS-SSRN Innovation Award this year to The University of Gothenburg!
The award was presented to Helena Sjöholm and Patrik Ström from the University of Gothenburg by Dr. Mireia Gine, Director of International Initiatives for WRDS during the AACSB EMEA Conference in Malta.
“I am delighted to present the WRDS-SSRN Innovation Award to the University of Gothenburg,” said Dr. Gine. “It is exciting to recognize the excellent research taking place at the University of Gothenburg, and the school’s commitment to advancing its business program.”
“We are honored to receive the WRDS-SSRN Innovation Award. As one of the first Schools in Sweden to use WRDS we see how it strengthens our research. It is also very helpful in meeting the data requirements of students. We are convinced that WRDS will continue to be a useful resource as we improve the research capabilities of the School,” said Associate Professor Jan Marton, Vice Dean, the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
Gregg Gordon, Managing Director of SSRN, added: “On behalf of everyone at SSRN, I am pleased to congratulate the University of Gothenburg on winning this WRDS-SSRN Innovation Award. The award and the WRDS Research Paper Series, a new, searchable platform on SSRN that showcases research conducted by WRDS, offer business programs and researchers greater visibility and opportunities to share their important work.”
Congratulations, again, to the University of Gothenburg. You are the first to receive the WRDS-SSRN Innovation Award for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region. One more additional award will be presented later this year at the AACSB conference, expected to be held in Seoul later this month in October. The winner of the North America Region in April was Sam Houston State University.
