The Chicago-Kent College of Law Legal Studies Research Paper Series includes abstracts, works in progress, and published papers written by the faculty of Chicago-Kent College of Law. Founded in 1888 as the Chicago College of Law, Chicago-Kent is the second-oldest law school in Illinois and is now a part of the Illinois Institute of Technology. The school’s mission, as exhibited by its diverse scholarship, is to house a vibrant, scholarly community that contributes to academic and public policy discourse on a wide range of legal issues.
