The Gerstein Fisher Research Center for Finance and Risk Engineering undertakes theoretical and applied research rooted in the fundamental principles of economics, finance and risk engineering. The Center is interdisciplinary and seeks to bridge a gap between theory and practice. Its research projects are currently focused in four areas, spanning: Personal Finance – a finance that cares for the individual; Risk Engineering and Finance; Finance and Risk Management of the Unlikely; and Alternative Finance.
