Honored to be Chosen for the Three Luminaries Award

Luminaries

We received a call on Monday that I was chosen for this year’s Three Luminaries Award. The award is given by The International Council for Small Business and The George Washington University Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence which “recognizes individuals and organizations that persistently provide extraordinary support for entrepreneurs and small business enterprises”. We strive for greatness at SSRN, but this recognition is truly an honor for the team and incredibly humbling for me, personally. Being chosen (and selected as one of the finalists) is a reminder that hard work pays off, and a motivator to keep working hard to be the change in the world.

The announcement described me as an “inspiring leader” who “pushes things forward”. To which I can only say, “Thank you.”  We apply innovative approaches to scholarly communications to provide tomorrow’s research today. As a result, becoming the leading resource for researchers and those interested in the social sciences and humanities around the world.
Our goal is simple: to help researchers create cool, new, innovative research faster for the benefit of all of us.

The 2014 Three Luminaries Awards Gala is next Friday, October 17th, during the GW October Global Entrepreneurship Research and Policy Conference (in the City View Room at The George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs).
If you are in Washington, D.C. that day, please let me know and come celebrate with us!
